BULL Inc., a venture company spun out of Teikyo University, has been selected as one of the 5th batch of "J-Startup" companies.

On Thursday, March 13, 2025, BULL Inc. (Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture; Representative Director/CEO: Yasushi Uto), a venture company spun off from Teikyo University, whose Chief Technology Officer is Associate Professor Masaaki Kawamura of the Department of Aerospace Engineering Faculty of Science and Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, Teikyo University, was selected for J-Startup, a program promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to support the development of startup companies.
The program aims to create startups that can thrive globally, with government agencies and private "J-Startup Supporters" providing intensive support to promising companies. Selected companies will aim to expand their businesses globally by taking advantage of various government support measures and growth support from private supporters.
BULL Inc., which was selected for the fifth round of awards, is a university-originated venture company established using the university's research results and human resources. In 2023, the university awarded the company the title of "Teikyo University-originated Venture Company." The company's vision is to "make interplanetary travel commonplace," and it is a startup that aims to "provide inexpensive and simple space utilization services by utilizing celestial body (re)entry technology."
Teikyo University will continue to support startups in order to commercialize and implement the research results of its faculty and other researchers.
