At the 14th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Clinical Oncology Pharmacy 2025, held at Pacifico Yokohama North (Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) on Saturday, March 15th and Sunday, March 16th, 2025, Rina Miyajima (5th year student, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences) won the Outstanding Presentation Award for Poster Presentation (Freshman Presentation).
The Society aims to contribute to the development of cancer care and the improvement of public health by achieving optimal therapeutic effects, reducing side effects, and preventing serious health damage through the advancement of academic research on cancer chemotherapy and the development and dissemination of scientifically based cancer chemotherapy.
Miyajima gave a poster presentation titled "Construction of a prediction model for the increase in AUC due to food for oral anticancer drugs and its application to supportive care drugs, etc." and was recognized for his excellent research presentation, which led to his receiving this award. This research utilized quantitative structure-property relationship technology to identify drugs whose absorption may be increased by food based on their chemical structure. We look forward to seeing more of Miyajima's future achievements.
