The 36th Tokyo Junior and Senior Judo Championships was held Shoichi Okinaga Cup

On Sunday, February 16, 2025, the 36th Shoichi Okinaga so Ippai Tokyo Junior and Senior Judo Championships, sponsored by the Tokyo Judo Federation, was held at the Tokyo Budokan Main Hall (Adachi Ward, Tokyo). This traditional tournament is aimed at fourth through sixth grade elementary school students, and aims to help them properly master the basic skills and etiquette of judo through competition, as well as to train their minds and bodies, fostering the development of children who will lead the future and promoting friendship among them. It is also a goal-oriented stage for elementary school students in Tokyo who compete in judo.

This year, 664 elementary school students from Tokyo participated, testing their skills against opponents to see how much they had learned from their daily training and practice. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those involved who made great efforts in holding this tournament. Our university will continue to hold this tournament in the future as a place to develop the human qualities of children who will lead the future of Japan.
