On Monday, February 3, 2025, the awards ceremony for the "2024 22nd Student Volunteer Group Grant Project: Call for Student Volunteer Group Activity Reports," sponsored by the Student Support Center, a general incorporated foundation, was held. The report "Support Activities Expanding Connections," written by "Wan Team," a student volunteer group from the Department of Department of Nursing Faculty of Medical Technology, Teikyo University, was selected as an outstanding report and received a certificate of commendation and an activity grant.
The purpose of this activity is for the Center to disseminate information about the significance and necessity of its activities, as well as to support student volunteer groups that are engaged in social contribution activities through their free thinking and initiative.
Wanteam, represented by the award-winning Ms. Riko Kubota (4th year, Faculty of Medical Technology), was established with the aim of supporting children with pediatric cancer and their families, and was approved as a new organization this year to transcend the boundaries of other faculties, departments, and grade levels.
The award ceremony was attended by Matsui Hiroyasu (3rd year, Faculty of Medical Technology), Sato Mayu (3rd year, Faculty of Medical Technology), and Hiraki Kana (3rd year, Faculty of Medical Technology) on behalf of the group.The social gathering held after the ceremony provided an opportunity for the group to deepen their friendships with students from other universities and think about the future structure and direction of the group.
