Ekiden (Road Relay) Club finished the first leg of the Hakone Ekiden in 14th place.

At the Hakone Ekiden (101st Tokyo-Hakone Round-Trip College Ekiden Race) held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, the Teikyo University Ekiden (Road Relay) Club finished the first leg in 14th place. This marks the 26th time that the university has participated, and the 18th consecutive year. Members of the university's brass band, Cheerleading Club, and faculty and staff came to support the team at each point along the course, cheering them on as they took on the Ekiden (Road Relay) Club.

After a strong run by Akira Shimada (3rd year, Faculty of Medical Technology) and Hiroo Yamanaka (4th year, Faculty of Liberal Arts) in the first and second sections, who finished 5th, the sash was passed on to the team, who finished in 14th place on the first leg, 1 minute 25 seconds behind the 10th-placed university, which will be seeded.
