On Friday, November 29, 2024, the lighting ceremony for "Winter Illumination Teikyo University 2024" was held at Teikyo University's School of Medicine Itabashi Campus. Launched in 2021 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Faculty of Medicine, this year marks its fourth year. Based on the concept of "The Passage of Time," the illuminations were designed to express gratitude to the university's medical staff, students aspiring to become medical staff, all those involved in healthcare, and the local community surrounding the University School of Medicine. The lighting ceremony, based on the concept of "The Passage of Time," depicts the daily process of growing day by day, as we all support each other without forgetting our gratitude, and the changing of the seasons, and illuminates the entire area.
More than 100 participants, a mix of local residents, Teikyo Kindergarten students, faculty, staff, and medical workers, gathered for the illuminating ceremony. The highlight saw students and kindergarteners taking charge of igniting the lights, creating a shimmering spectacle that drew cheers and applause from the delighted audience. The joyous atmosphere was further enhanced by the presence of a kitchen truck, offering delectable treats such as fried buns and kebabs, turning the lighting ceremony into a delightful and successful community event.
