The 13th Student Study Abroad Report Session was heldItabashi Campus

On Thursday, November 14, 2024, the 13th "Student Overseas Study Report Session" was held at Teikyo University's Itabashi Campus by students from the university's Faculty of Medicine. This report session had been held regularly until 2019, but was temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In response to the current situation in which student study abroad and overseas training is being promoted again, the session was held for the first time in five years, co-hosted by Itabashi Campus Global Office Committee and the Department of Hygiene and Public Health, Faculty School of Medicine.

Nearly 50 students, faculty, and staff attended the event. Students from the Department Department of Nursing of Department of Clinical Laboratory Science at TUFS' Faculty of Medical Technology gave presentations on the exchange between Taipei Medical University and Mahidol University, which exchange students. Students from the School of School of Medicine also reported on their fifth-year hygiene and public health internship in Vietnam, their medical ethics training at the University of Washington, and their sixth-year clinical internship (BSC) at the University of Barcelona. A physician from School of Medicine' Mizonokuchi Hospital also reported on the results of his three-month language training at TUFS' Durham Campus. Participants discussed their learning experiences, including insights gained from their overseas experiences and reflections on Japanese healthcare. A lively Q&A session followed, covering the content and methods of their international exchange activities, as well as their subsequent results. A social gathering was held at the end of the event, allowing participants to interact across departmental boundaries.

In order to cultivate individuals who can make decisions from an international perspective, as is School Philosophy our founding, our university will continue to provide education that offers global opportunities.
