The 58th Seisha Festival was held on Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27th, 2024, at Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus. This year's theme, set by the Seisha Festival Executive Committee, which is involved in the event's management, was "Creative Excellence," and it expressed the hope that the visitors' creativity would flourish and that the atmosphere would be filled with beauty, excitement, and fun. The weather was favorable on both days, and the festival attracted a record number of over 12,000 people.
This year's Seisha Festival was a huge success, with a variety of exciting events taking place in WakuWaku Wonderland, which was made up of four areas: festival, sports, air play equipment, and stage. These included a hero show by the Action Club, outdoor food stalls, a stage-planned student pro wrestling event, classroom exhibitions, and live music and comedy performances by invited guests.
On the first day, TUFS Chairman and President Yoshihito Okinaga visited the university and participated in various events. Despite the limited time, he was able to visit various areas, including interacting with international students at the Global Festa held in Ouchi Commons, purchasing fair trade coffee at the stall run by Faculty of Languages and Cultures Ohba Seminar, and viewing the Railway Research Club's exhibits, and was seen engaging in engaging conversations with the students in charge. He also stopped by the Shared Reading Festa held in the Media Library Center, where he interacted with students from the Shared Reading Supporters group, an organization that promotes shared reading by "reading, recommending, and reviewing books together."
The venue was also livened up by spectacular performances by the designated Cheerleading Club club, the karate club, and the calligraphy club, as well as an autumn concert by the brass band, and the lively students could be seen in all areas of the campus. Thank you to everyone who came.
