Students from Hachioji CampusDepartment of Elementary Education conducted sales activities with students from Tokyo Metropolitan Nanao Special Needs School

On Tuesday, July 9th, Thursday, September 26th, and Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, students from the Department of Department of Elementary Education Faculty of Education, Teikyo University, participated in sales activities with students from Tokyo Metropolitan Nanao Special Needs School at Hachioji Campus. The department is working to collaborate with Nanao Special Needs School in order to develop educational activities, and this initiative was carried out as part of that effort.
On the day, the students of Nanao Special Needs School's high school food processing, recycling, and craft teams worked together to sell baked goods such as cookies, paper products such as calendars, and fabric products such as pouches. The event was so successful that at one point, there was a line of teachers and students, and the students divided into various roles such as calling customers, explaining the products, accounting, and serving drinks, and were able to sell out all the products.
The participants were students enrolled in a special needs school teaching qualification course, and this was a valuable opportunity for them to deepen their understanding of the proper attitude and professional instruction required when interacting with students with disabilities.
Faculty of Education Department of Elementary Education of Education, will continue to promote educational collaboration with Nanao Special Needs School and strive to contribute to the local community and develop educational activities.
