On Friday, September 13, 2024, Teikyo University students participated in a seminar at the National Stadium (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) on the reasons, background, and case studies of promoting sports hospitality as a company's business.
Our university has a club sponsorship contract with FC Tokyo, and this project was planned as a pre-event class to investigate what kind of hospitality is required to attract foreign tourists to FC Tokyo's home games. Senior Assistant Professor from JTB Corporation was invited to the event, and students studying sports business learned from examples of sporting events held in Japan to learn how offering special services, high-quality food and drink, and special gifts in addition to tickets can help share the excitement and experiences of watching sports. After the special lecture, the students toured the National Stadium, viewing the seating and reception rooms, which are not normally open to the public.
Our university will continue to provide students with an environment in which to learn about sports business through Practical learning.
