The Seibu Lions Internship took place from Sunday, August 4th to Saturday, August 31st, 2024. Teikyo University, which supports the Seibu Lions' philosophy of spreading educational activities to children through baseball and has signed a facility naming rights sponsorship contract with the university, has been running the Seibu Lions Internship since 2022 as an initiative to enable students to learn about regional development and revitalization through various collaborations.
This year, the third year of the program, 13 students participated, split into two courses. In the "Work Experience Course," students experienced work related to baseball team management, such as accompanying sales staff and managing games, while in the "PBL (Problem-Based Learning) Course," they investigated issues facing the baseball team, such as measures to increase attendance. On the final day, the students gave presentations on what they had worked on during their internship, providing a meaningful opportunity for them to gain new perspectives and knowledge through practical experience in society and to think about their future careers. Our university will continue to provide opportunities for "Practical learning" as stated in Educational Guidelines.
