On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, a group from Taipei Medical University (Taipei, Taiwan) toured the campus and hospital at Teikyo University's Itabashi Campus. The university is a partner school of our university, and various exchanges have been taking place between the two universities, including three students from our School of Faculty of Medical Technology Department of Nursing undergoing training there in March 2024 and the university's plans to accept students next year. This was the third visit since 2019, and 20 people came to our university for training.
After touring medical labs, including the Simulation Education and Research Center on Itabashi Campus, the group attended a lecture by Professor Ichiro Kaneko of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Faculty of School of Medicine and Professor Yoshinori Nakata of the Graduate Graduate School Graduate School of Public Health. The lecture involved the use of an actual patient simulator, allowing the group to experience the university's latest technology. The group then toured the adjacent Faculty School of Medicine Hospital. After touring the hospital's facilities, the group visited the rooftop heliport, where they were amazed by the magnificent views and the facility's vast scale, and seemed to enjoy themselves by taking photos. One student commented, "It was a very fulfilling experience. We hope to use what we learned this time to further our studies when we return home."
Teikyo University will continue to strive to realize international exchange.
