Fukuoka CampusTeikyo University Fukuoka Campus Unites Freshmen for a Visionary Seminar

On Saturday, April 20, 2024, a Freshman Seminar was held at Teikyo University's Fukuoka Campus. The purpose of this initiative is for new students at Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology, who aspire to become medical professionals, to interact across department and course boundaries and discuss the common theme of "What is an ideal medical professional?", with the aim of applying the insights and discoveries they gain there to their four years of university life.

Although the freshmen looked nervous at first, they gradually opened up as they introduced themselves and discussed the theme within their groups, and smiles naturally filled the air. In a friendly atmosphere, each group shared their thoughts on the theme, and while taking into consideration the opinions of other groups, they brainstormed using a single sheet of poster paper and sticky notes to categorize each person's ideas and summarize their group's thoughts. After that, a representative from each group gave a presentation and shared their thoughts with all participants. After the seminar, the light music club performed to welcome the new students, and the Student Association Management Office introduced the clubs and conducted the membership procedures. The freshmen, who had deepened their interactions with the Student Association and upperclassmen in the clubs, looked excited about their future student life.

At Fukuoka Campus we will continue to work on developing medical professionals who can play an active role in the community.
