Hachioji CampusA networking event for new international students was held

On Friday, April 19, 2024, a social event for new international students was held at Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus. At the university's Hachioji Campus, international exchange assistants are active in supporting international students and planning exchange events between Japanese students and international students, and they act as a promoter of international exchange. This social event was planned as the first opportunity for new international students to interact with each other and with the international exchange assistants.
More than 50 students, including new international students and international exchange assistants, participated on the day, and enjoyed self-introductions and simple games using Japanese, led by the international exchange assistants. At first, they seemed nervous, but gradually opened up and deepened friendships through the games.
At the end of the event, the International Exchange Assistant explained that OUCHI COMMONS is a place for international exchange within the university, and sent a message to the new international students, saying, "Please continue to actively participate in events and deepen your interactions."
Our university will continue to increase opportunities for international students and Japanese students to interact, primarily through international exchange assistants, and provide a platform for international exchange within the university.
