Hachioji CampusA student from Faculty of Medical Technology Department of Sport and Medical Science Medical Technology, won the Japan Fitness Association Representative Director's Award at Fitness Legacy 2023

A student taking an aerobic dance class taught by Tada Satsuki, Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Department of Sport and Medical Science Faculty of Medical Technology Teikyo University, won the Japan Fitness Association Representative Director's Award at the 3rd Fitness Legacy 2023 Connection Exercise Video Competition hosted by the Japan Fitness Association, a public interest incorporated association.
In the aerobic dance class taught by Senior Assistant Professor Tada, each group creates and presents a program in which the intensity of the exercise gradually increases. Among them, two groups' programs were evaluated as having "smooth connections and easy movements," and the video work in which all the students danced together won the competition. The group won the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Award at the "2nd Fitness Legacy 2021," making this their second time receiving the award.
The department will continue to train sports instructors, educators, and trainers who contribute to health.
