Hachioji CampusA student from the Department of Department of Sport and Medical Science Faculty of Medical Technology received the Japan Fitness Association Representative Director's Award at Fitness Legacy 2023

A student taking an aerobic dance class taught by Tada Satsuki, Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Sports Medicine, Faculty of Medical Technology Department of Sport and Medical Science, Teikyo University, won the Japan Fitness Association Representative Director's Award at the 3rd Fitness Legacy 2023 Connected Exercise Video Competition, hosted by the Japan Fitness Association (a public interest incorporated association).
Senior Assistant Professor Tada's aerobic dance class, each group creates and presents a program in which the exercise intensity gradually increases. Two groups' programs were judged to be "smooth and easy to move through," and the video they created, in which all the students danced together, won an award at the competition. The group also won the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Award at the 2nd Fitness Legacy 2021 competition, making this their second time receiving the award.
The department will continue to train sports instructors, educators, and trainers who contribute to health.
