The 15th Teikyo University Graduate School of Teacher Education Forum, "Understanding and Supporting School Refusal: Ensuring Diverse and Appropriate Educational Opportunities," was held atHachioji Campus

On Saturday, December 2, 2023, the "Graduate School of Teacher Education Forum - Focusing on Children" was held at Teikyo University Graduate School Hachioji Campus, sponsored by the Graduate Graduate School of Teacher Education.
The theme of this event was "Understanding and supporting school refusal - to ensure diverse and appropriate educational opportunities," and Professor Minako Ito of Nara Women's University gave a keynote speech entitled "The current state of school refusal and diverse support for school refusal based on the Act on Ensuring Educational Opportunities." Afterwards, Hiroyuki Takasaki (1st year, Graduate School of Teacher Education) gave a summary of his presentation entitled "Understanding and supporting school refusal."
Towards the end of the forum, a panel discussion was held with Professor Minako Ito of Nara Women's University, Principal Hiroshi Maeda of Setagaya Junior High School (a special school for students who do not attend school), Advisor Katsutoshi Yamamoto of the Education Department of Tama City Board of Education, and Professor Yasushi Fujii of the Graduate School of Teacher Education at our university, which provided an opportunity for a lively exchange of opinions.
