The 35th Tokyo Junior and Senior Judo Championships was held Shoichi Okinaga Cup

On Sunday, February 18, 2024, the 35th Shoichi Okinaga Soh Ippai Tokyo Junior and Senior Judo Championships, sponsored by the Tokyo Judo Federation, was held at the Tokyo Budokan Main Hall (Adachi Ward, Tokyo). This traditional tournament is aimed at fourth through sixth grade elementary school students, and aims to help them properly master the basic skills and etiquette of judo through competition, as well as to train their minds and bodies, fostering the development of children who will lead the future and promoting friendship among them. It is also a goal-oriented stage for elementary school students in Tokyo who compete in judo.

This year, 672 elementary school students from Tokyo participated, testing their skills against their opponents to see how much they had learned through daily training and practice. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone involved for their tremendous efforts in organizing this tournament. Our university will continue to hold this tournament as a place for the human development of children who will be the future of Japan.
