Itabashi CampusStudent Volunteer from Teikyo's Medical Tech Faculty Wins National Recognition for Lifesaving Initiatives

On February 8, 2024 (Thursday), an award ceremony was held for the "Student Volunteer Group Grant Project - Recruitment of Student Volunteer Group Activities Reports" hosted by the Student Support Center, a general incorporated foundation, and 28 volunteer groups from universities across the country applied. , Daiki Tonooka (3rd year Faculty of Medical Technology)'s activity report on the ELS research group was awarded as an especially excellent report. The ELS Study Group, to which Mr. Tonooka belongs, aims to improve the knowledge, skills, and aspirations necessary for pre-hospital relief, and conducts emergency training and first aid dissemination activities among local residents.

The award-winning activity report states that through the activities of the ELS Study Group, which conducts first aid courses for local junior high school students, the aim is to help children who will be responsible for the future understand the importance of life, and to help create a city that is resilient to disasters. I am reporting on how I am making use of the knowledge and skills I learned at Teikyo University Faculty of Medical Technology.
