Teikyo University Makes Debut at APAIE 2023, Strengthening Global Connections

March 13-17, 2023—Teikyo University participated in APAIE 2023, the Asia-Pacifiac Association for International Education's premier convention held in Bangkok, Thailand. This marked the university's inaugural exhibition at the convention, which brought together educators and professionals from higher education institutions across the Asia-Pacific region. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, APAIE 2023 witnessed an impressive attendance of approximately 2,700 participants, the highest number in the history of the event, showcasing the enthusiasm of universities worldwide for international exchange.

During the event, Teikyo University focused on strengthening existing partnerships with universities they have already collaborated with, while also initiating discussions and meetings with numerous institutions they had not previously engaged with. These fruitful exchanges enabled extensive information sharing and provided a platform for diverse perspectives on internationalization, including valuable discussions with fellow Japanese universities. With "Towards a Sustainable Future for International Education in the Asia Pacific" as the main theme of the convention, attendees had the opportunity to attend seminars, poster sessions, and other events related to international exchange and education, gaining insights into the latest global trends. Building upon the connections made during this exchange, Teikyo University is committed to expanding its global network and furthering its internationalization efforts.
