Hachioji Campus Teikyo University Partners with ZAMST to Elevate Athletic Support for Ekiden Team

Teikyo University, represented by Chairman and President Yoshihito Okinaga, located in Kaga, Itabashi-ku, Tokyo, has entered into an official supplier agreement with Japan Sigma-X Co., Ltd., the company behind the sports support and care brand, "ZAMST," based in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, led by President and CEO Yosuke Suzuki. The collaboration aims to provide specialized care products tailored to the individual needs of Teikyo University's Ekiden relay race team, as they relentlessly pursue their goal of securing a coveted seed position in the Hakone Ekiden, all under the team motto, "The Team with the World's Most Stubborn Resolve." Teikyo University's Ekiden team, driven by an unwavering spirit of persistence, has embarked on this partnership with Japan Sigma-X to fortify their pursuit of excellence. The objective is clear: to enhance performance through the provision of ZAMST products, a brand known for its quality and effectiveness in athletic support.

Head Coach of Teikyo University's Ekiden Team, Takayuki Nakano, shared his insights on the collaboration, stating, "Since January of this year, we have formalized our partnership with Japan Sigma-X Co., Ltd., ensuring the supply of their premium products. While we had been testing these products since April of last year, I personally used ZAMST products before introducing them to our athletes. The team has been actively embracing these high-quality products, recognizing the importance of a robust support system for recovery, crucial in our pursuit to once again secure a seed position in the Hakone Ekiden." Nakano continued, expressing his commitment to injury prevention and risk mitigation: "Moving forward, we aim to further reduce the likelihood of injuries and minimize risks more effectively than ever before. Together with our partners at Japan Sigma-X, we are determined to approach zero injuries and propel our team to greater heights." This collaboration between Teikyo University and Japan Sigma-X marks a significant stride towards optimizing the performance and well-being of the Ekiden relay race team.
