Hachioji CampusBreaking Down the 'Whys of Everyday Life': Students Showcased Innovative Research Results at 2023 Japan Active Learning Seminar

Teikyo University and Tokyo Gakugei University students had the opportunity to showcase their research results at the 2023 Japan Active Learning Seminar Research Presentation on Saturday, February 4th. The event was hosted by Ace Comprehensive Research Group at the Tokyo Gakuin Building in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

Under the theme of "The Whys of Everyday Life," students from Professor Noboru Wakayama's seminar at the Faculty of Law, Teikyo University, and Professor Takeshi Kitazawa's seminar at Tokyo Gakugei University presented their research results. Five research themes were nominated for the presentation, and despite some stiffness in the Q&A session with external experts and faculty members, the participants confidently responded. The event was made possible by the hard work and dedication of Wakayama's seminar students who actively volunteered and were involved in the planning and execution of the event. They helped create pamphlets, set up the venue, served as MCs, and receptionists. Additionally, the presenters' idea of providing PowerPoint materials to the audience via QR code was well-received. At the end of the event, Kentaro Saito, a fourth-year student from Teikyo University's Faculty of Law, was awarded the Excellent Award for his presentation on job hunting and job hunting guidebooks. Overall, the 2023 Japan Active Learning Seminar Research Presentation was a success, and it provided an excellent platform for university students to share their research findings and insights.
