Utsunomiya CampusAdvanced Instrument Analysis Center held a seminar inviting an external Senior Assistant Professor

On Tuesday, December 20, 2022, a seminar (food science field) was held at the Utsunomiya Campus of Teikyo University, hosted by the Advanced Instrument Analysis Center. Professor Nobuhiro Zaimitsu of the Department of Applied Biochemistry, Faculty of Agriculture, Kindai University, was invited as a Senior Assistant Professor to give a lecture on "Efforts aimed at preventing and treating vascular diseases from the standpoint of a basic researcher in nutrition (from basic research to social implementation)." I received a lecture.
At the seminar, based on the knowledge gained from the basic research that Professor Zaimitsu has been working on to understand the onset mechanism of vascular disease, applied research for prevention and treatment using food ingredients, and further functional research were conducted. He talked about social implementation through commercialization as a food with gender labeling, citing his own experience as an example. He also explained how analytical techniques were used in these research developments. After the lecture, questions were asked about the effective use of functional food ingredients in social life, and a lively discussion took place.

The Advanced Instrument Analysis Center will continue to hold seminars for undergraduate students, Graduate School, and faculty members in various fields to effectively utilize analytical techniques.
