Fukuoka CampusStudents from Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology visited Omuta Municipal Tachibana Junior High School

On September 27, 2022 (Tuesday), students from the Department of Department of Occupational Therapy of Department of Radiological Technology, Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology, Teikyo University, participated in a comprehensive learning session for third-year students at Omuta Municipal Tachibana Junior High School (Omuta City, Fukuoka Prefecture). We gave presentations on the attractiveness of the medical profession that our students aspire to and what they learned at university. The purpose of this visit was for junior high school students to think about their career path during the period of integrated study, and it was realized at the request of Omuta City.
On the day of the event, representative students from each department introduced their respective departments to the third-year students, and talked about why they chose this university and their dreams for the future. I explained using PowerPoint and videos, and the students listened with serious expressions. During the question and answer session, it was a meaningful time as we were able to deepen our exchanges while communicating not only with the questions from the students but also with the students of our university asking about their dreams for the future. Fukuoka Campus will continue to actively engage in Community Partnership.
