Fukuoka CampusStudents from Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology visited Omuta Municipal Tachibana Junior High School

On Tuesday, September 27, 2022, students from the Department of Occupational Department of Occupational Therapy Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology Department of Radiological Technology, participated in a comprehensive study period for third-year students at Omuta City Tachibana Junior High School (Omuta City, Fukuoka Prefecture). Our students gave presentations about the attractiveness of the medical profession they aspire to and the content of their studies at the university. The purpose of this visit was for junior high school students to think about their career paths during comprehensive study time, and was made possible at the request of Omuta City.
On the day of the event, representative students from the same faculty gave talks about their respective departments, why they chose our university, and their dreams for the future. We used PowerPoint and videos to provide explanations, and the students listened intently. During the question and answer session, it was a meaningful time where we not only received questions from the students, but also listened to our students' dreams for the future, and were able to deepen our interactions while communicating with each other. Fukuoka Campus will continue to actively engage in Community Engagement.
