The Cheerleading Club won the 3 divisions of the JAPAN CUP 2022 Japan Championships

The JAPAN CUP 2022 Japan Championship was held from August 26th (Friday) to 28th (Sunday), 2022 at Yoyogi National Stadium First Gymnasium (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo). This competition is to determine the best in Japan in each category from elementary school students to adults, and Teikyo University Cheerleading Club BUFFALOS also entered in 3 categories. BUFFALOS won all three divisions in which they competed in three days of fierce competition with the support of the entire venue.

In the freestyle competition DIVISION 1 university division, they advanced to the final with the first place among the 41 universities that participated in the qualifying on Saturday, August 27, but there was not much difference in points with the second place, and they passed the qualifying. Attention was drawn to the performance in the final held at the university. At the final on Sunday, August 28, the university Cheerleading Club, which appeared after the seven universities performed wonderfully, performed until the end and delivered a powerful performance that left the second place behind by 40 points. He won the championship with a high score of 413.5 points. It was a moment when I felt the real strength of the students who practiced repeatedly even though they were worried about the corona wreck and gave their best on the wonderful stage illuminated by the spotlight. At the moment BUFFALOS finished their performance, the voices of the audience could be heard saying, "BUFFALOS is really strong...". “I told the students to put on a performance to close out this competition,” said Kana Iwano, the director of the Cheerleading Club at the university.
