Miho Miyahara, a staff member of the university and a coach of the karate club, won the bronze medal at World Games 2022.

Miho Miyahara (Graduate of 2018), Teikyo University employee and Karate club coach, at the 11th World Games 2022 karate competition held in Birmingham, USA from July 8th (Friday) to 9th (Saturday), 2022. won the bronze medal in the women's kumite 50kg class, and graduate Kazumasa Moto (graduated in 2017) won the gold medal in the men's individual kata. This tournament is an international tournament that is held once every four years in the year following the summer Olympics, and the world championship medalists and top ranked players in the world participate in the karate competition. It was occupied by university staff and alumni.

Mr. Miyahara has proven his strength as a world-class athlete by winning medals following his silver medal at the 2017 Games, which he participated in when he was a third year university student. In addition, Mr. Moto defeated the Tokyo Olympic silver medalist in the final and achieved the feat of winning the gold medal in his first appearance at the World Games. At the World Championships in November last year, Mr. Moto won a gold medal in the group kata, which was performed by three people.
