A student of our university won the best presentation award at the 70th Mass Spectrometry Symposium

From Wednesday, June 22 to Friday, June 24, 2022, at the 70th Mass Spectrometry General Symposium of the Mass Spectrometry Society of Japan held at the Fukuoka International Conference Center, Mr. Kaito Koike (Faculty of Faculty of Pharma-Science, Clinical Analysis Lab 6th year) made an oral and poster presentation on "Analysis of in vivo lipid fluctuations caused by oxidative stress in the space environment" and won the best presentation award.

This research was conducted as part of joint research between the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and Tohoku University Graduate School Medicine. Using mass spectrometry and statistical analysis, we presented research results that elucidated the effects of stress on living organisms in the space environment from the perspective of lipid molecular fluctuations. This award was given not only for her cutting-edge research, but also for her ability to present posters (in English) and oral presentations, as well as her ability to respond to questions and answers.
