We held a freshman seminar for new students on theFukuoka Campus.

On Saturday, April 2, 2022, we held the Freshman Seminar for the first time in three years at Teikyo University Fukuoka Campus. In this initiative, new students of the Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology, who aspire to be medical professionals, interact across departments and courses and discuss common themes, and make use of the findings and discoveries gained there for four years of university life. The purpose is that.
Until now, the Freshman Seminar was an embodiment in which participants gathered at one venue, but this year, as a countermeasure against new coronavirus infectious diseases, multiple classrooms were connected online.

This year's theme is "What is the ideal medical person?" At first, I was a freshman with a nervous expression, but I heard that he was able to talk about himself as a result of introducing himself within the group. After that, we came up with ideas about each theme and put them together on a sheet of imitation paper while referring to the opinions of other groups. At the end of the program, a representative group from each classroom made a presentation and all the participants shared their thoughts. In addition, the alumni association management department introduced about student life (on-campus events and club activities). In the participant questionnaire, many comments were received, such as "I'm glad I got to know students from other departments" and "I was able to learn various ways of thinking about medical care through exchanging opinions."
At the Fukuoka Campus, we will continue to work to develop medical professionals who are rooted in the community and can play an active role.
