Wataru Fukushima (1st year, Faculty of Medical Technology), who ran in the 7th ward, said, "I was nervous about the first Hakone Ekiden, but before the race I was looking forward to it and I was able to get off to a good start. However, as a result, I was disappointed that I was far from the goal of 3rd overall. Strong seniors will graduate, so I think that I am the one who fills the hole and I want to practice hard.
