Ekiden (Road Relay) ClubEkiden (Road Relay) Club has finished running in 2nd place on the Hakone Ekiden outbound route.

At the Hakone Ekiden (98th Tokyo Hakone Round-Trip University Ekiden Race) held on January 2, 2022, the Teikyo University Ekiden (Road Relay) Club finished running in 2nd place on the outbound route. This is the 23rd participation of our university for 15 consecutive years.
This time, from the viewpoint of preventing the spread of coronavirus infection, the event was held in a different atmosphere than usual, such as a request to refrain from cheering, but all the teams participated in the race with gratitude for holding the event.

The race started at a high pace from the 1st ward, but Ryuichiro Ono (2nd year, Faculty of Medical Technology) in the 1st ward and Fuma Nakamura (4th year, Faculty of Medical Technology) in the 2nd ward made a tenacious run and Endo in the 3rd ward. When I connected the 襷 to Mr. Daichi (4th year, Faculty of Medical Technology) in 5th place, I overtook two people and pushed up the ranking to 3rd place. Keiichi Terashima (4th year, Faculty of Medical Technology) in the 4th ward connects the sashes in a position where he can follow the front, and Shouma Hosoya (4th year, Faculty of Medical Technology) in the final 5 wards has a splendid run of the section prize following last year. I ran through Hakone Road, ran in a time of 5 hours 24 minutes 43 seconds, and finished in 2nd place on the outbound route.
