To those affected by the Kumamoto Earthquake in July 2026 and the Chiba Heavy Rains in August, andto prospective students and students:
We extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake and the August 2026 Chiba Heavy Rains. We sincerely pray for the safety of everyone in the affected areas and for a swift recovery and reconstruction.
To support prospective and current students affected by the disaster, Teikyo University will implement the following financial assistance measures. If you are eligible, please review the details and contact the Teikyo University Admission Center.
Support for exam takers
[Exemption from application fee (refundable after the exam)]
If an applicant or their guardian (tuition payer) residing in an area covered by the Disaster Relief Act is affected by the disaster, the application fee already paid will be waived and refunded afterward.

- Teikyo University: All Faculties
- Teikyo University Junior College: All Departments
Target entrance examinations
- Teikyo University: Comprehensive Selection, School Recommendation Selection, Scholarship Selection, General Selection, The Common Test for University Admissions selection, Overseas Returnee Selection, Selection for working adults, Transfer Student Selection, Sports Selection, Cultural Club Selection
- Teikyo University Junior College: Comprehensive Selection, School Recommendation Selection, Wide-Area Tama Region Scholarship Selection, General Selection, The Common Test for University Admissions selection, Overseas Returnee Selection, Selection for working adults
Eligibility Requirements
Those who reside in an area where the Disaster Relief Act has been applied in relation to the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake or the August 2026 Chiba Heavy Rains, and who meet any of the following criteria
- If the examinee themselves is affected by the disaster
- If the parent/guardian (the person responsible for paying tuition fees) is affected by the disaster
Application Procedure
Please contact the Teikyo University Admission Center. They will provide you with detailed information regarding the application process.
- * To apply, you will need to submit an "Application Form for Refund of Entrance Examination Fee".
- * A disaster victim certificate, damage certificate, or other certificate issued by a local government or public institution is required to receive a refund of the application fee.
Support for prospective students
[Tuition Fee Reduction/Exemption System]
For prospective students whose household finances have drastically changed due to the disaster and who are finding it difficult to continue their studies, tuition fees will be reduced or waived depending on the extent of the damage.

- Teikyo University Junior College: All Departments

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants residing in areas where the Disaster Relief Act has been applied in connection with the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake or the August 2026 Chiba Heavy Rains, and who meet any of the following criteria:
- If the prospective student is affected by the disaster
- If the parent/guardian (the person responsible for paying tuition fees) is affected by the disaster
- In the event that the guardian (the person responsible for paying tuition fees) dies
support
Depending on the extent of the damage, tuition fees (tuition, facility expansion fees, and laboratory/practical training fees) for the first year of enrollment will be fully or partially waived.
Full exemption from tuition fees for the first year of enrollment.
If a house is more than half destroyed (including being washed away, burned down, liquefied, etc.) or if it is flooded above floor level
If the parent or guardian who is responsible for paying tuition fees dies in a disaster
Half of the tuition fee for the first year of enrollment will be waived.
In the case of a house being partially or semi-destroyed or partially damaged

Target area
The target areas are the municipalities to which the Disaster Relief Act was applied in the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake and the August 2026 Chiba Heavy Rains.
