At Teikyo University's Graduate Course of Midwifery, midwifery students and faculty members studying to become midwife have planned a maternity class. This class is designed for first-time expectant mothers and their partners to discuss breastfeeding and life after childbirth.
This year, classes will be held in person. These classes are centered around "experiences" that can only be had in person, such as the opportunity to hold a realistic newborn doll that weighs about the same as a newborn baby and doesn't yet have head control, and to practice breastfeeding. These classes are designed to support first-time mothers and fathers who may feel anxious because they don't even know what they don't know. We look forward to your participation.
