[Title] Understanding “Oshi Culture”
[Lecturer] Akira Muramatsu (Teikyo University Liberal Arts Center Senior Assistant Professor)

The word ``Oshi'' refers to ``something you like and support so much that you want to recommend it to others.'' In 2021, ``Oshikatsu'' was nominated for the New Word/Buzzword Award, and Oshi culture is becoming widespread among people as a part of modern culture.
In this course, I would like to think about the newness of ``Oshi Culture'' and the characteristics of the modern society that gave rise to ``Oshi Culture'' from the perspective of an academic fan (a person who is both a scholar and a leader in pop culture). I think.

[Title] Utilizing data to improve education
[Lecturer] Kazusuke Mori (Teikyo University Liberal Arts Center Senior Assistant Professor)

The first half of this course will demonstrate the impact that IR aims to have within universities. [Title] Straits loved by literary figures and artists: Landscape beauty of modern Koseto considered from the perspective of comparative culture between Japan and China
[Lecturer] Koji Kozono (Teikyo University Liberal Arts Center Senior Assistant Professor)

Shimonoseki (formerly Umaseki) is a town located on the westernmost tip of Honshu, facing the Kanmon Strait. In this town, which has been the scene of many historical events such as the Battle of Dan-no-ura, the Shimonoseki War, and the conclusion of the Sino-Japanese Peace Treaty, there is another strait that once fascinated writers and artists with its unique beauty. It is little known that it exists. In this course, from the perspective of comparative cultural research between Japan and China, we will consider how people at the time perceived the natural landscape, using the beauty of the landscapes and waterways of Koseto as seen in the eyes of modern Japanese people.
