October 7, 2022 (Friday) to February 25, 2023 (Saturday)
Teikyo University was the first private university in Japan to establish a public health professional graduate school in 2011, and in 2022 it will celebrate its 10th anniversary. Public health is very close to our lives, and it is very important for people to lead healthy, prosperous, safe, and secure lives. In addition to countermeasures against infectious diseases such as the new coronavirus infection, we support our lives from behind the scenes in a wide range of areas such as living spaces where people live, daily health management, vaccines and medicines.
The global epidemic of the new coronavirus infection, which has continued since it was confirmed in China in December 2019, still has no end in sight. A lot of information such as the infection status, discourses by experts, tests, vaccines, and the actual situation of affected people are being disseminated in the media every day. In this exhibition, we will reorganize and introduce in an easy-to-understand manner various things related to the new coronavirus that you have seen and heard over the past two years.
The faculty members and students involved in this research are continuing their research and practice with the aim of realizing a better life for people. We hope that through this exhibition, you will learn about the diversity of public health as a “black coat” that protects society and individual health beyond infectious disease control.
