In a groundbreaking stride towards surgical precision, Teikyo University's Okinaga Research Institute makes waves at the 16th Asia-Pacific Congress of the Asian Society for Endoscopic Laparoscopy Surgery in Istanbul, Turkey. Their research, led by Professor Maki Sugimoto and Assistant Professor Takuya Sueyoshi, has earned them the esteemed Best Oral Presentation Award. The Asian Society for Endoscopic Laparoscopy Surgery (ELSA), boasting a membership of over 2,600 experts from 37 countries across the Asia-Pacific region, recognizes outstanding contributions to the field of endoscopic surgery. Professor Sugimoto's achievement stems from the innovative integration of holography into laparoscopic and robot-assisted procedures, enhancing spatial perception crucial to successful surgical outcomes.
