Utsunomiya Campusengineering club "Teikyo Formula Project" finished 18th overall at Student Formula Japan 2022

The 20th Formula Student Japan Tournament 2022 held at Ogasayama Athletic Park (Fukuroi City, Shizuoka Prefecture) from September 6th (Tuesday) to 10th (Saturday), 2022 (sponsored by Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan) The Teikyo Formula Project (TFP), an engineering club on the Utsunomiya Campus of Teikyo University, finished 18th overall out of 69 teams and won the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association Chairman's Award for the second consecutive time.

The competition provides an opportunity for students to form teams and develop and build a small formula-style racing car in about a year, thereby providing an opportunity to learn about the essence and process of manufacturing, contributing to the revitalization of engineering education at universities and technical colleges. It is intended to There are a wide range of examination items, and it is characterized by competing for comprehensive strength in manufacturing, such as driving performance, planning, design, production, cost management, and vehicle marketing. Before the tournament, activities were restricted due to the impact of the corona virus, and TFP, who worked together as a team to complete the machine and face the tournament, faced severe weather conditions such as rain and heat. Although there were many situations where we had to face the examinations, we were able to finish the race by passing the technical vehicle inspection and completing all events in the driving examination. TFP will continue to work hard to achieve even greater heights.
