Teikyo University signed academic exchange agreement between School of Public Health of Peking University


A signing ceremony for academic exchange agreement between Graduate school of Public Health of Teikyo University and School of Public Health of Peking University, China, was held in the presence of Chairman and President Yoshihito Okinaga on September 16, 2016, the first day of the International Conference for Teikyo University’s 50th anniversary. School of Public Health of Peeking University founded in 1931 has been the center of public health studies in China with 169 faculty members and 960 students (including 400 undergraduate students). Peking University is aiming to conduct a research on developing a sustainable health care system to cope with rapidly aging society that Japan has experienced, and has a strong interest in doctoral programs in health care professions education which Teikyo University has been proceeding with Harvard University. Additionally, a joint research project on air pollution, with the participation of two other universities: Chulalongkorn University Thailand and Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, has started. Thus it is expected that multidimensional exchange will be accelerated both in the areas of education and research studies.
