In line with its emphasis on developing a broader world view through education, Teikyo University offers a variety of overseas exchange programs designed to help students acquire an international outlook and an understanding of how the world is perceived by others. The University's global network extends to Asia, the United States and Europe.

Courses available in the U.K.

The Durham University English course, offered by the Department of Language Studies in the Faculty of Language Studies, involves approximately six months of study at the Durham University in the United Kingdom during Year 1.
After returning to Japan, students complete the autumn component of the English language curriculum.

Short-term study abroad program (with recognized credits)

Students enrolled in the Economics, Law, Liberal Arts, Foreign Languages, Education faculties, and Sports Health course at the Department of Sport and Medical Science, Faculty of Medical Technology, as well as Teikyo University Junior College students can apply to study overseas (with the exception of several departments). Overseas courses are part of the curriculum and payment system of the Teikyo University group, and most subjects earn credits towards courses in Japan. This is a wonderful way to improve language skills while developing an appreciation of the history and culture of other countries.

Summer and spring holiday courses (with recognized credits)

Holiday courses generally run for two to three weeks during the summer and spring holiday periods. Teikyo University offers an extensive summer holiday program courses at overseas campuses and affiliated schools.

Student exchange program

Studying abroad is a great way to acquire new language skills and develop a broader world view

The Teikyo University student exchange program with sister schools around the world is designed for students seeking an extended cultural experience rather than an intensive language course. Pursuing your studies at an overseas university alongside local students is an excellent way to practice your language skills in a real-life setting. Teikyo University currently has three exchange programs operating at universities in South Korea and the United States.

Students transfer to the University of Suwon or the University of Dong-A for one year.
