Teikyo University was officially accredited by Japan Institution for Higher Education Evaluation in FY2014 in line with the JIHEE assessment standards. The accreditation statement described Teikyo University as "an outstanding private tertiary education institution offering differentiated and innovative teaching and research programs predicated on a unique set of founding principles, along with community and social programs in line with a strong commitment to its social obligations."

Teikyo University Graduate School of Teacher Education was officially accredited by the Institute for the Evaluation of Teacher Education in FY2013 in line with its assessment standards.

Teikyo University Graduate School of Public Health (Master’s Degree Program) was officially accredited by Japan University Accreditation Association in FY2015 in line with its assessment standards.

Third-party assessment of Teikyo University Junior College

Teikyo University Junior College

Teikyo University Junior College was accredited with a pass rating by third-party assessment body the Japan Association for College Accreditation (JACA) in FY2015.

Internal monitoring and evaluation

The Teikyo University rules define self-evaluation and evaluation as "striving to improve teaching and research programs and achieve the abovementioned ideals and objectives through internal monitoring and evaluation of teaching and research programs, administration and operation, and equipment and facilities, accompanied by publication of all relevant findings." The Internal Monitoring and Evaluation Committee on each campus is responsible for internal monitoring and evaluation in all departments and faculties, which includes periodical monitoring and evaluation of teaching and research programs and management performance across all disciplines. The results are issued every four years in the Teikyo University Internal Monitoring and Evaluation Report.
