Division of Japanese Language and Culture: In this division, a wide perspective on relevant study subjects is offered by placing Japanese culture, especially Japanese language and literature, firmly within the kanji (Chinese character) cultural area in East Asia. It is therefore possible to carry out intriguing research by enquiring into matters that cannot be comprehended simply by studying Japanese literature alone.

Division of Anglo-American Language and Culture: This division prides itself on attracting young researchers with a keen interest in English linguistics and history, and Anglo-American literature. A wealth of research subjects is offered in each field.

Division of Intercultural Studies: Not only teaching staff from the Department of Intercultural Studies, but also from the Faculty of Law, Economics and Liberal Arts participate in education in this division. A full complement of teaching staff and subjects therefore enable graduate students to make in-depth enquiries into the various issues of the essence and nature of gculture,h from a wide, multifaceted perspective and from their own original viewpoint.

Division of Psychology: This division aims to develop high-quality researchers into psychology who will carry out advanced-level research in order to solve the various issues of contemporary society.

Division of Clinical Psychology: This division, in accordance with the requirements of society, aims to develop specialist professionals who can take part in clinical psychology activities, including psychological treatments, in actual treatment situations.
