Division of Law: In Japan, where the principle of the rule of law has permeated society, the activities of society, organizations, and individuals are regulated by the law. During four years of undergraduate study, students will have investigated various issues of contemporary society and the appeal of being able to make judgments in legal terms. Pursuing the study of law at graduate school is thus not only driven by the aspiration to becoming a legal specialist, but leads to a contribution to contemporary society through the examination of familiar, domestic laws, as well as international law, from a wide variety of perspectives. The Division of Law has a full team of professors who have been practitioners in the legal profession or researchers in the legal field, and who are eager to work with well-motivated students.
