Department of Radiological Technology
This department aims to train specialist radiologists who meet the advanced requirements of the clinical setting. Basic training through to specialist education is given by technologist instructors as well as medical and medical radiology teaching staff with a strong background in practical radiology. A comprehensive curriculum is offered through a broad range of courses, increasing success in gaining the Japanese national qualification in medical radiology, and supported by experienced teaching staff to ensure progression in academic work. Making maximum use of the department's location adjoining Teikyo University Hospital, important comprehensive training is emphasized in this program as one of the main study targets, including medical technology, taught by the many clinicians and radiologists in the hospital, sound comprehension of the radiologist's role through observations in the hospital, and training in medical practitioner-patient interaction and the function of the radiologist in team medicine .
