Department of Sociology
When we examine the root of social problems, we consider administrative and political situations, issues in ordinary lifestyles, and various other questions and themes which will come into focus. In this department, a large number of practical specialist subjects are offered in the fields of information, social issues, social research, and so on, in order to satisfy the various interests and social awareness of students. In each academic year there are small classes, enabling teaching staff and students to engage in two-way communication so that students can learn positively and actively. Moreover, in order to allow students to enjoy studying independently and to promote the development of their individuality and abilities, they can freely select from among a rich variety of specialist subjects to study toward their own objectives and interests. Basic issues, such as how to get the most from university classes, how to read the relevant literature, academic writing, and computer use are taught thoroughly and clearly, the curriculum being designed to develop specialization from the basic acquisition of sound knowledge and skills.
