Department of Tourism Management

Departent of Tourism Management

This curriculum offers an opportunity to gain a good understanding of the significance of tourism in contemporary society, and the mechanism of the production, distribution and consumption of tourist products. With the aim of nurturing personnel who will go on to take an active part in tourism-related business, a rich and varied range of lectures is offered, enabling the student to understand the tourism industry and the skills necessary for tourism business management. At the same time, the department makes every effort to help students acquire tourism-related qualifications. An emphasis on actual business situations is a special feature of this department. By offering a wide array of practical lectures and seminars which emphasize hands-on practical training, surveys, and research fieldwork, we believe that the student will acquire the ability to uncover problems in actual tourism work situations, and make valid business management and policy proposals. Through education and research into the planning and management of tourist sites and their legal and policy frameworks, this department aims to develop personnel who will make important contributions to regional development and community building.
